Your Vote Is the Most Important Choice You’ll Make

Vote Your Faith!

Former President Ronald Reagan, in a speech remembered for its defense of freedom, told a powerful story about a conversation two friends had with a Cuban refugee. He said of that encounter, “Not too long ago, two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, ‘We don’t know how lucky we are.’ And the Cuban stopped and said, ‘How lucky you are? I had someplace to escape to.’ And in that sentence, he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom here, there’s no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.” This account isn’t all that different from the one Reverend Rafael Cruz, the father of Senator Ted Cruz, shared at our church in Bedford, Texas. He like so many others, who have lived without freedom and the values in our founding documents, know that liberty, once attained is worth defending.

Will You Forget God’s Gift of Freedom?

November 3rd, we need to remember the gift of freedom we have received from God. It crosses all economic, religious and racial lines. It is for the old, the young and the newly born. It is an inalienable right endowed by our Creator. Our founders made the choice to forge a new nation founded on Judeo-Christian values. We had many hard-fought wars – the Revolutionary War, the Civil War that almost destroyed our nation, two World Wars, conflicts and engagements on foreign soils, and attacks of terror that sought to bring an end to everything we believe. Today, we face new challenges that threaten our future as “one nation under God”. We face a pivotal election where your vote and mine matters. We should sit with our Bible in one hand and the ballot in the other.

What Will You Do to Guarantee Freedom for Your Grandchildren?

I want to share another part of President Reagan’s speech. I think it is worth repeating, not for any partisan reason or motivation, but simply because it’s true. You have heard me say so many times, “We shouldn’t vote, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, or anything but Lamb. We should vote Lamb of God and the Bible.” Reagan said, “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

What Truth Are You Willing to Declare Boldly?

God, I believe has had His hand on America from the beginning. We have always been destined to be a light to the nations and our capitol, a shining city on a hill. We cannot let our light be swallowed up in darkness. We must stand for righteousness, for the truth of God’s Word and declare boldly, “God, may Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done in the United States of America in 2020 and for decades into the future.” We are ambassadors of another Kingdom, God’s, and we are here to hold our ground, stand in faith, pray with confidence and occupy until Jesus returns.

You and I need to understand that the Kingdom of God isn’t a democracy. It’s a theocracy where God rules. He isn’t serving for one term and being replaced. He is Almighty God, Ruler of the Universe and Maker of Heaven and Earth. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His rule and throne are eternal. He is not going anywhere.

Do You Expect Something to Happen When You Pray?

When we pray and believe that His kingdom comes, and His will is done- it happens. Thousands, have been praying for our nation. You, along with so many, have prayed 2 Chronicles 7:14, which promises, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, I will hear from Heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.”

What are you asking for when you say, “Lord, may Thy kingdom come, and Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven? You are saying, “God, bring Your kingdom and Your will to Earth and to my life, marriage, family, job, church and nation.” You are declaring His power and His authority. You are putting your spiritual foot down. Come Kingdom of God. Come will of God. As we pray for this election we need to declare, “Come will of God over the election, our government, our leaders, the Church and our nation.” Pray with authority. Expect God’s rule to be enforced. God has declared that “Whatever you bind on Earth is bound in Heaven.” Now let’s believe it.

When You Vote Be Faithful to God and His Word

God hears our prayers but answers them when we combine walking according to His Word with our prayers for His forgiveness and the healing of our nation. History records that world empires last approximately 250 years, or 10 generations. Why is this important right now? Because America is 244 years old. Will we make it to 250 and beyond? Or are we seeing the signs, right now, of a turning that will lead to our eventual destruction? Are the riots, looting, violence and the attempt to replace our Judeo-Christian foundations, with other ideologies, just the beginning of prophecy’s birth pangs? I believe something is about to be born.

Something Is About to be Born – What Will It Be?

The next move is ours. We have a responsibility to this country and the next generation to vote. Passivity is no longer an option. Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when the wicked man rules, the people groan.” Before you vote, ask yourself if your choice will promote God’s will, righteousness and destiny for our nation? As Christians, our identity does not lie in any political party, but in Jesus. When we use phrases like “Vote your faith” or “Vote Bible”, we are encouraging you to use the Bible as a guide, a moral compass. It is the standard by which we are to live and vote. We have provided a list that includes issues, along with a Biblical perspective, that should be considered for this election. Please don’t take a stand as a “Left” or “Right”, Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, but take a stand as the ambassador Christ has called you to be and consider the Bible to be that “lamp unto your feet” as you make one of the most important decisions in our history. You and I, by our vote, will decide our nation’s direction. Join us as we pray, vote and stand together, faithful to God and His Word, our Judeo-Christian precepts, our family values and remain “One Nation Under God.” God Bless You! God Bless Your Family! Thomas Jefferson and our other Founding Fathers understood that the government does not give us our freedom. Our freedom comes from God, and the government was established to protect that God-given freedom. That was their justification for the American Revolution as stated in the Declaration of Independence.

Jefferson wrote:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government laying its foundation on such principles…”
