Blessed In Your Coming and Your Going

Blessed In Your Coming and Your Going

Therefore, you shall love the Lord your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always. Know today that I do not speak with your children, who have not known and who have not seen the chastening of the Lord your God, His greatness and His mighty hand and His outstretched arm— His signs and His acts which He did in the midst of Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to all his land; what He did to the army of Egypt, to their horses and their chariots: how He made the waters of the Red Sea overflow them as they pursued you, and how the Lord has destroyed them to this day;  what He did for you in the wilderness until you came to this place;  and what He did to Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, their households, their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel— but your eyes have seen every great act of the Lord which He did.  “Therefore, you shall keep every commandment which I command you today that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess.”
Deuteronomy 11:1-7

God's Word Transforms Your Life Every Moment of the Day

Ancient Jewish wisdom teaches that after 210 years of being in bondage in Egypt, the Israelites were about to cross over into the Promised Land.  They had seen the mighty hand of God and His greatness.  It was something God wanted them to never forget. So here is what God told Moses to tell the Israelites to do.  Look back at Deuteronomy, Chapter 11, but go to verse 18.

18 “Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 19 You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, 21 that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.

The Israelites put God’s promises before their eyes.  It was on the doorposts of their home.  It was there every day when they went out and came back in.  It reminded them of God’s faithfulness and of the great and mighty acts He had done for them.  A mezuzah, which means doorposts in Hebrew, is something we can do to remind us of God’s Word and truth in our lives.  Why should we put a doorpost on the front door, back door, gates, and specific rooms in the house?  They were Jews, we are Christians?  That’s the Old Testament.  Not the New Testament.  Isn’t it just legalism?  Let me tell you something important.  It’s only legalism if we are required to do it.

Do You Want To Receive All God Has For You Right Now?

We, as believers, are saved by grace, not works.  What He did for us on the cross and the seven places Jesus shed His blood includes forgiveness, healing, prosperity, protection, victory, and God’s blessings, as His sons and daughters.  We can choose to receive all of that or not.  God’s Word says that we are to love Him and keep His commandments.  We’re to do what He commands us to.  We need to open our eyes to see and our ears to hear.  But there’s more and it’s in verse 18.  Look at it again.
“Therefore, you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul and bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be frontlets between your eyes, you shall teach them to your children, speak unto them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, when you rise up, you shall write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates.”

God's Word on the Doorposts of Your Home Are Powerful

Today those commandments of God are in our Bible, but also can be written on a scroll, rolled up and put into a case, and placed on the doorposts of our homes. That’s what a mezuzah is. God says you shall take these words and write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates. Pastor Larry has said many times that everything God does is both physical and spiritual. God is saying to the Israelites, and to us, that if you do as I command, I promise to multiply the days that your children spend in the land that I have given to you and your fathers. And it will be like days of heaven on earth. There’s more. He says to them, if you love Me, and walk in all My ways, and hold fast, then I will drive out all the nations that rise against you. He is promising to defeat their enemies – not just one, but all of them. You might be thinking right now, “If I obeyed God and do this, will He really multiply my days and that of my children? The answer is in Exodus, Chapter 20, verse 12.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”

Every one of God’s commandments has a blessing.  When you disobey them, there is a penalty.  If you honor your father and mother, things will go well with you and you will have a long life.  I am not talking about respect, that’s something a person earns.  Honor for your parents is more than that.  It’s a command of God. With obedience comes promises of blessings.

With this appointed time of Passover, comes seven promises including grace, favor, and protection.  You can get your free, printable download of the Seven Passover Promises to serve as a daily reminder that you are indeed truly blessed.

Recently, Pastor Tiz shared that there are more than 8000 promises in the Bible on her weekly, Tuesdays with Tiz.   We can live a blessed life full of those promises, we just have to access them.

Do You Know What Has To Happen For You To Be Blessed?

Pastor Larry shared about when his family began putting mezuzahs on their doors—

“I remember when we began placing mezuzahs on our doors.  We put them on the front, back, side, and bedroom doors.  Katie, my youngest daughter was eleven at the time.  She had a friend over and when they went into her bedroom the girl pointed at the mezuzah and asked, “What’s that?”  Katie told her, “It’s to remind me that I’m blessed in my coming and I’m blessed in my going.”  I heard her add.  “But it’s also to remind me for that blessing to work, I have to obey God.  I can’t be nasty, gossip, or be cranky. God honors His Word when I do my part.”

God wants to bless you.  Putting a mezuzah on your doorposts reminds you of God’s promises and your part to love Him and others.  It also reminds Satan and his demonic spirits that you have an unbreakable covenant with God in the blood of Jesus.  God has His part and you have yours.  Jesus became poor so that we can be blessed. Every sin was put on Him so that we can be forgiven.  He was wounded and shed His blood so we can be healed and made whole.

You can get your own mezuzah here and we want to give you mezuzah instructions so you can be reminded that you are blessed; and that you are to be a blessing in your coming and going. In addition, one of this month’s Thank You Packages includes for your Passover First Fruits offering of $135 or more, a beautiful brass mezuzah with an exposed scroll along with a USB of 15 powerful Biblical Holidays and First Fruits Collection messages by Pastor Larry.

God Is Protecting You Right Now in Every Area Of Your Life

The Lord is your keeper.  He is the shade at your right hand.  He will preserve you in your going out and coming in.  Are you ready for the enemy to be stopped in his tracks?  Are you expecting God to rebuke the devourer for your sake?  He will. The Lord will preserve you from all evil in your going out and coming in.  He is covering you in every aspect of your life – your health, marriage, children, finances, destiny, and future. He’s got you.  He’s got all our families.  When you have God’s Word on the doorposts of your home He is going before you.  God is taking care of you and all that concerns you.

When you walk from the world into your home that becomes your place of refuge.  It is a place of peace and joy.  God’s presence is in the kitchen where you cook.  The living room where your family spends time.  Your office where you study and do business. Each bedroom where you, your wife or husband, and your children sleep.  There is a different domain, purpose, and anointing for each room in your home.

God Is All-Powerful and He Is With You Today

We want to share a revelation with you about the shin, which appears on the outside of every mezuzah.  It represents Shaddai, which means Almighty God.  In Hebrew, dai means enough.  There’s more to the meaning.  Dai tells us that GOD IS ENOUGH.  In Him, everything is full, complete, and sufficient for all we need.  Shaddai, Almighty God is often on the inside and the outside of the mezuzah.  Inside your house, Almighty God is more than enough.  He is the fulfillment of every line of Psalm 91.  Read it and receive it for yourself.

When you leave your home, you abide in the shadow of Almighty God.  You dwell in the secret place of His presence.  The destroyer, Satan cannot come in and devour your blessing when you are inside or outside your home. And in this season of Passover, we should recognize that the blood that was put on the doorpost of Israel’s home worked for one night, but then He gave us the mezuzah to work for a lifetime.

God delivers you from every snare and trap of the enemy.  His truth is your shield and buckler.  There is no need to fear as you trust in God.  Every day you will see His name over you, your family, and your home as you are blessed in your going out and coming in.

Blessed to Be a Blessing

Lastly, we are heartbroken over the war going on in Ukraine with so many of God’s precious children in danger. We can only imagine what they must be experiencing with the fear of the future, fear of losing their lives, and fear of being forgotten.

We have been so moved lately in seeing the results of what we have stepped up to and been a part of in our recent projects. We’ve had this increased revelation and vision of how God is involved with setting things up in the world and then allowing us to be a part of what He’s doing. When the State of Israel contacted us with an urgent need to help the Ukrainian Jews in crisis, we knew the answer was YES!  We firmly believe that we are blessed to be a blessing.

Your generous support will allow us to transport people to the safety of bordering nations; provide food, clothing, and shelter as they flee the Russian army; and bring Ukrainian olim home safely to Israel through Project Aliyah.

Realizing the devastation of this war and the great urgency to get the Jewish people out of Ukraine, let us decide to partner with God and provide lifesaving care to the most vulnerable.

Israel has always been able to count on the friends and partners of Larry Huch Ministries and right now we are needed more than ever. Please continue to pray for Ukraine and protection for our partners who are on the ground serving as we speak. Carefully consider sending your best offering and rest assured you are making a difference.

May God Bless You for answering His call-

Passover is a sacred time for both Christians and Jews. It is rooted in the timeless story of Exodus––where God told the Israelites to mark their homes with the blood of a lamb.Exodus 12:13 proclaims the divine protection and deliverance of this sacred holiday by saying, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” This underscores the life-transforming power of this sacred deliverance.
