Defeating The Spirit Of Amalek

What’s Behind the Assaults On Israel?

It is easy to stir hatred when a curse is behind it. The spirit behind the assaults on Israel, and the increase in anti-Semitism around the world isn’t new. It’s ancient. It has been more than 100 days since the long-planned assault on October 7th. Before this, the Palestinian Legislative Council voted Hamas into power as a political party and terrorist organization. The following was part of the Hamas charter recorded in 2006. “Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims. The time [to implement Allah’s promise] will not come until Muslims fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! We must spread the spirit of Jihad among the . . .Umma [the Muslim community], clash with the enemies, and join the ranks of the Jihad fighter” The charter also included the pledge: “I swear by that who holds in His Hands the Soul of Muhammed! I indeed wish to go to war for the sake of Allah! I will assault and kill, assault and kill, assault and kill.”

The Ancient Curse That Is Behind It All

Does it sound to you like Hamas is after “land for peace”? It doesn’t to me. They aren’t. They never have been. They don’t want peace. They don’t want land. They want the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people. Their mix of sex, death, and faith was in full force when they went house to house in the neighborhoods of Israel, tying families together, pouring gasoline on them, burning them to death, raping women, and then slaughtering them before their children. Their vicious acts of cutting babies from the womb of their mothers and beheading others, taking turns raping women, taking hostages, and every other form of torture, mutilation and barbaric acts, wasn’t a new thing. Not to mention bringing chaos, destruction, and death to a peaceful, joyous music concert attended by young people. The demonic spirit that fueled them was the ancient spirit of Amalek. Recently Rabbi Lapin reminded us that— It was a curse God warned Israel about. “Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt. . . .You shall not forget” Deuteronomy 25:17, 19. The Apostle Paul wrote, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12. The battle is never with people. Our opponents are principalities, powers, and the rulers of darkness who manipulate and deceive human beings. It is the enemy who comes “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” John 10:10. They have combined the perversion of sex, death, and faith since the beginning.

Hitler’s Demonic Strategy to Destroy the Jews

Many of us were not alive during the Holocaust, but a spirit was at work in Hitler and the Nazis. In the century before Hitler was born, Rabbi Eliyahu Kagan of Lithuania expressed his belief “That the Germans descend from that evil nation [Amalek]—a nation differing fundamentally from the rest of mankind, evil at

its very core.” Rabbi Kagan was not condemning the German people rather he was pointing out how the Amalek spirit takes advantage of opportunities to continue its destructive mission.

Hitler blamed the Jewish people for the world’s ills and claimed that Jewish people were part of a conspiracy to rule the earth and run its financial system. He called this conspiracy “the Jewish peril.” To better understand Hitler’s deep hatred of the Jewish people, look at his mentor, Dietrich Eckart, who published Plain German (Auf Gut Deutsch), a periodical of anti-Semitic rants. Hitler was also fond of the fiercely anti-Semitic composer Richard Wagner and his hate-filled opera Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). Wagner portrayed the Jewish people as evil dwarfs who hoarded gold and lived underground. In addition to Wagner’s hatred of the Jewish people, his lyrics spoke of “light-bringing love, and laughing death.” From the Amalek perspective, death laughs and is something to be laughed at. Recently a leader of Hamas said, “The Jews love life. We love death.”

Terror, Destruction and Death – The Amalek Agenda

That reminds me of suicide murderers. They laugh at death, strap bombs around their chests for the sake of Islam, and blow themselves up, for the chance to kill Jewish people and other “infidels.” After they complete their missions, their parents and families are given cash for their “heroic” sacrifices. This is the curse of Amalek. Hitler also made virtual suicide pacts for the sake of killing Jewish people.

The same spirit still works through the leaders of Iran and other nations, many of whom sponsor and incite terror against the Jewish people. God’s Word warns that Amalek’s spiritual descendants are welcoming their own destruction: Even “[Balaam] looked on Amalek, and he took up his oracle and said, ‘Amalek was first among the nations, but shall be last until he perishes’” Numbers 24:20. We see both in the story of King Saul and Agag, king of the Amalekites.

This Deadly Spirit Needs To Be Defeated Now!

The prophet Samuel told King Saul to fight Amalek and completely destroy the Amalekites and all they had. I always found this a little disturbing. But Saul was not only fighting a people; he was fighting the Amalek spirit whose mission was to wipe out every Jewish person everywhere. Keep that in mind as you read Samuel’s marching orders to King Saul: Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them.” Samuel 15:2–3 . Saul then attacked Amalek, and God gave him a great victory. Instead of doing all Samuel commanded, Saul spared their king’s life, and kept the best of the sheep, oxen, the lambs, and other valuables.

Saul squandered the chance to break the Amalek curse once and for all. He forgot God’s warning centuries before. His decision prolonged that war, and his disobedience was serious enough for God to reject him completely.

Agag, Haman and Atta – Generations of Hatred

God stripped the throne from Saul and raised up David to be king. That morning, Samuel handled what Saul left undone. He killed Agag. However, Agag fathered a son during the night he spent in Saul’s custody. That son became the ancestor of Haman. Haman was actually found trying to rape Esther when the king burst into her chamber and discovered him and his plot to annihilate Esther, Mordecai, and all the Jews was uncovered. God turned Haman’s plans completely upside down. The Book of Esther, Chapter 9 records that Haman and his ten sons, were hanged on the gallows he meant for Mordecai.

The Amalek Spirit and It’s Hatred for God

The spirit behind the Amalek inheritance is a spiritual matter. When the Huchs toured Jerusalem with a group a few years ago, they had made a stop in the Old City. While the women went shopping, some of the men, stood just inside the Jaffa Gate and were talking. Out of nowhere a young man approached them and said, “We will slit the throats of every Jew and Christian and make your wives and daughters our slaves.” They just stood there, stunned.

What caused his rage? They were Jewish and Christian people he’d never met before. We were spending money in their markets. Yet all he could think about was slitting the throats of Jewish and Christian people. The young man’s goal was perverse, and his statement was religious, not political. He did not mention Americans, Europeans, or Israelis. He specifically mentioned both Jews and Christians. His brief rant covered sex, death, and religion. It was the spirit of Amalek!

Radical Islam is calling for a destruction of our world as we know it. Ancient Jewish wisdom calls for Tikkun Olam, to repair a broken world. Almighty God is calling us to repair our broken world. And that starts by standing up with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel and around the world.

This Is The Esther Moment For The Church!

God is looking for those who will stand up in this moment. It is so important for Christians to understand that this is the hour to rise up. The worst sin we could commit is complacency. There are so many Christians who are oblivious to what is going on. We are raising the alarm so that we can play our part rather than wait it out in complacency. God is calling us to take our places in fulfilling a living prophecy—defeat of the Amalek spirit. This really is an Esther moment for the church, spiritual and financial support is needed more than ever for such a time is this.

Break This Curse and Release God’s Blessings Now!

We’re often asked “What can I do?” The answer is stand up, open your mouth, speak loudly, pray, and bless and help Israel. She needs you right now, more than ever. Pray for all the people who live in Israel. Pray for all of Israel, God’s Promised Land. That’s how you can play a big part in breaking the curse of Amalek. We need to break our silence for Zion’s sake but also for our own. God is ready to release His power and blessings, but it’s our move.

Pastor Larry and his team are in constant contact with the government of Israel and they continue to ask the Ministry for additional emergency funding. They need our help to buy truckloads of food, clothing and medical supplies for the elderly and for families just like yours who require temporary housing away from the dangers presented by the terrorist in and around Gaza. There is an urgent need for new ambulances and additional mobile bombs shelters and there’s a vital need to provide special PTSD counseling for the children who have been traumatized by the war.

There are so many things that we’re doing in Israel right now. We need another military ICU unit, more bomb shelters, two more ambulances to Magen David Adom—ambulances for civilians because they’ve been destroyed. But we’ve got food, housing, medical, clothing, medical supplies. So there are the big gifts that we need, but there are also those smaller gifts that we need.

EVERYBODY CAN DO SOMETHING, and doing something has never been more important than doing it right now. Not tomorrow, not next week, but doing it right now.

Your offering will immediately go toward the massive relief ever underway in Israel, so please join with us today. Blessing Israel is a wonderful way to begin your new year. You’ll be saving lives and reactivating the Genesis blessing for 2024. And don’t you know when God says, I will bless those who bless Israel, that is true every moment of every day. But it’s never been more true. Israel’s greatest time of need is right now. We release God’s blessing on you and your family, for everything you’ve done and everything God is speaking you to do right now.

Thanks again for standing with us as we stand with Israel and may this year be your best year ever.

We love you!

Christ in the Passover

We are in the moedim of Passover on God’s calendar, but what is Passover about? What does it mean for Christians?
This time was important to Jesus. In Luke 22:15, we see our Jewish Jesus observed the Passover feast on the evening He was betrayed saying, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” It was His appointed time.
