During this amazing trip to Israel, Pastor Larry engaged in another meeting of a lifetime with Holocaust Survivor and renowned Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau.
FIGHTING FOR SURVIVAL
The Rebbe survived the Nazi imposed horrors of Buchenwald concentration camp as a young child, thanks to the efforts of his elder brother. After WWII, Rabbi Lau was able to make aliyah to Israel. Like his father before him, he pursued rabbinical studies. Eventually, Rabbi Lau rose to serve as the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and the Chairman of Yad Vashem Council.

In this momentous meeting these men of God talked about our ministry’s charitable work with the Jewish people and studied Torah. They also spoke about the Pastor’s new book, discussed Christian-Jewish relations, and expressed their commitment to help repair a 2,000-year-old breach. Celebrated as one of Israel’s greatest Rabbi’s, he was delighted to learn that our ministry had sponsored an aliyah flight from France. Both men, like you and our other LHM friends, are eager to help Jewish people make their aliyah to Israel. “We have a home, and that is Israel. So I tell all of you wonderful Jewish youth: Come home. Come live in Israel,” said Rabbi Lau.
