Bringing Healing to Traumatized Kids

Therapy Camp Brings Healing to Children Recovering from PTSD

One of the most important core outreaches that Larry Huch Ministries does through our partnered work with you is to provide trauma therapy for Jewish children who have been victims of terror. You are also helping to provide special grants to parents for therapeutic care for their children’s PTSD recovery. This past year, more than 100 children ages 6 to 16 attended a recovery camp led by the Jewish Agency’s Fund for Victims of Terrorism.

OFFERING HOPE

LHM helped support these camps which assist victims of violence, including those who suffer from deep trauma and anxiety associated with frequent rocket attacks from Hamas.

Jewish boys and girls benefit from many therapeutic and tension-relieving activities which help them heal from the stark trauma they have faced.

Many young campers struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder and these camps give the children a respite from their daily routine.

Due to the war with Hamas, there is and will continue to be an increased need for these camp sessions. These children have unfortunately been exposed to the horrors of war, including mass casualty death.

Fortunately, you can be a part of their healing process through your prayers and offerings.

SPECIAL PROGRAM

Each camp provides meaningful activities in a setting and environment that is adapted to the children’s needs, either physical, mental, or both.

Recovery camps offer young people the ability to be around others of their same age who have experienced similar harsh situations.

Some children have lost their homes, while others have lost family members, or were physically scarred themselves. Mental trauma is the most prevalent issue yet the hardest to detect because it is not a visual injury.

APPRECIATIVE ASSISTANCE

Below is a touching letter letting you and other LHM friends know of the impact your offerings have on these precious children.

“We are so very thankful that Pastors Larry and Tiz and all the members of your ministry made this happen for the children.

“I hope my email finds you well. I am sending you pictures taken in the south of Israel where the children had wonderful moments at the recovery camp supported by LHM and NBC.

“They enjoyed many activities and their smiles are thanks to all of you. “With gratitude and blessings.”

We thank you for your continued prayers and your ongoing assistance for these needy girls and boys.

Through your assistance, and God’s protection, we know Israel will not only survive this brutal war but will come out victorious.

This is history in the making – it is a prophecy in the making, and we want everyone who can to be a part of it. Stay in the know with our Insider Israel Updates and learn more about our Israel Relief Fund.  God Bless you and your loved ones.
