Thanks to your prayers and financial support, we have been able to fully fund LHM’s third military ambulance to save even more lives in Israel.
CRITICAL OUTREACH
These reinforced, military- grade ambulances are critical to the survival of Israel Defense Forces soldiers who become injured in the field. Each vehicle allows EMTs and paramedics to care for the wounded, treating them at the site of the injury. This saves precious time and precious lives.
Starting next month, we will again partner with MDA, to provide our twelfth MICU ambulance and an additional defibrillator unit.
These emergency medical vehicles and mobile devices are always in need across Israel due to constant use, damage from rockets, terror attacks, and other issues.
During the October 7th attack by Hamas and the start of the war, several ambulances were either stolen or destroyed by terrorists.
This severely limited Magen David Adom’s (MDA) emergency response to war-related calls and injuries.
MDA is Israel’s version of the Red Cross and is independently funded apart from the Israeli government’s budget.
It is only through people such as you that MDA is able to treat injured individuals and transport them to hospitals for emergency care as needed.
DESPERATE CONDITIONS
Calls for medical assistance in Israel come in by the second.
Last month some of the critical events that MDA responded to in the Holy Land included:
• A 37-year-old woman with shrapnel in her leg
• A man collapsed in a store and was revived through a defibrillator from a kiosk
• A 30-year-old male was stabbed by a terrorist
• An 18-year-old female was brutally stabbed in her chest
• Two Jewish men were hit in a car-ramming incident
• Six Israelis were injured in a rocket attack, one of them serious.
