On Pastor Larry Huch’s and the LHM team’s recent trip to Israel, they participated in the dedication of our third military ambulance.
This highly specialized medical unit provides life- saving care to Israel Defense Force (IDF) soldiers as well as to civilians of every nationality or religion across the Holy Land.
One of LHM’s sponsored military ambulances was the first emergency vehicle to go into Gaza and help rescue hostages from the October attacks.
Protecting Soldiers
Just recently, fourteen IDF soldiers were wounded—six in serious condition—by Hezbollah drones and anti-tank missiles that were fired at a village in northern Galilee.
Four civilians were also wounded during the attacks.
IDF ambulances, like the ones you helped sponsor, are in the middle of the fighting and many times are the first ones on the scene to help war injuries. “We face many life-or-death situations every day,” said one Israeli soldier.
Troops encounter frequent rocket attacks, deadly assaults, explosive devices in rigged houses or buildings and under- ground tunnels, plus many more dangerous situations each day.
Through your prayers and offerings, you are helping supply the IDF with the emergency medical vehicles needed to defend Israel and care for those who are injured in the line of fire.
Quick to respond
In another attack, twenty civilians were wounded in a bus crash in Judea and Samaria.
The IDF Medical Corps soldiers were the first to arrive on the scene and render aid. “We are constantly on the alert,” said an experienced IDF captain. “My soldiers and I act with one value in mind: We are all doctors and our purpose is to save lives. It makes no difference where we are or who is in front of us.”
CRITICAL ASSISTANCE
Our new LHM ambulance will be located in this same area of Samaria.
It will bring hope as well as healing to thousands just as it did for those in the bus crash.
During any medical crisis, time is of the essence. Clearly, the more emergency medical response vehicles in action, the quicker injured people can receive treatment.
Another stop Pastor Larry and the LHM team visited in Israel, was the Magen David Adom’s (MDA) headquarters.
Here they celebrated the dedication and unveiling of our 11th mobile intensive care unit (MICU) ambulance.
This bright yellow “hospital on wheels” will save more than 10,000 lives in its long lifetime of service.
Pastor Larry Huch and his daughter Katie also gave blood right after the dedication of the new ambulance.
Each pint donated can be used in saving three lives. “We wanted to leave even more than our financial support in Israel,” said Pastor Larry Huch. “We wanted to leave part of our heart.”
READY FOR EMERGENCIES
MDA stated it is working to be even more prepared in case of another grand-scale attack such as the one on October 7.
This includes well stocked MICU’s—just like the ones you helped provide—with all of the medical supplies and essential equipment that is needed to treat multiple traumas.
“We wake every morning asking how we can make sure we are better prepared for any emergency because when MDA is truly prepared, the State of Israel is more resilient,” said a grateful MDA spokesperson.
JUST IN TIME
Magen David Adom teams are working tirelessly across northern Israel as Hezbollah and terrorist forces launch thousands of drones and rockets from Lebanon.
Thankfully, MDA’s EMTs and paramedics are able to quickly respond to reports of injured citizens and soldiers.
BLESSED IN CARING
What you and other LHM friends are doing is nothing short of a miracle.
You are saving lives while repairing many years of distress between Christians and Jews.
Deuteronomy 15:10 says to:
“Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”
Please join with us again in funding our twelfth MICU ambulance and standing with Israel and the Jewish people.
Thank you for making this outreach possible.
