passover - easter
what is passover?
evening of Monday, April 22, 2024, – Tuesday,
April 30, 2024.
Passover is the oldest continuously observed religious ceremony in the world, going back nearly 3,500 years. It celebrates the miracle of God bringing Israel coming out of the bondage and slavery of Egypt. For Christians this foreshadows the redeeming work of Jesus as The Passover Lamb. Ancient wisdom teaches God set up His divine calendar so that Passover would be the first of 7 holidays. He wanted this incredible act of grace and redemption to be the reference point for all the others. This is the first of three pilgrimage festivals (Shavuot, Sukkot) when we bring a special Passover first fruits offering.
