Day 38: Do What God Tells You To Do

Don’t Limit How God Can Do It

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9

One of the goals for this 50 day devotional is to position you for an incredible future. One of our favorite scriptures is Ephesians 3:20. God says He will do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think.

The Message Bible says, “God can do anything – you know – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!”

As you trust God and His amazing plan for your life, don’t get caught up in a preconceived idea of how God is going to bring blessings and miracles into your life. Remember His ways are above our ways.

People saw miracles performed in their lives when they simply did what Jesus told them to do. Even when it seemed to make no sense in the natural.

He anointed the eyes of the blind man with clay and his sight was restored. (John 9:1-12) He told servants to put water in ceremonial pots so He could turn it into wine. (John 2:1-11) Jesus told professional fishermen to launch back out after an unsuccessful night of fishing. When they did what He said they were rewarded with a catch that almost broke their nets. (Luke 5:1-11)

When you do what God tells you to do, even if it goes against how you would normally do it, you can always expect supernatural results!

Today’s Prayer: Father, I praise You that I’m living in Your supernatural power and miraculous provision. Show me what You want me to do. Open my mind to fresh ideas and new ways of thinking. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
