Day 20 – 40 Days of the Shofar
Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. There is a great reward in returning to God. Wake up and return to a life dedicated to God.
These feasts are for you.
Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. There is a great reward in returning to God. Wake up and return to a life dedicated to God.
These feasts are for you.
Here are just a few things the sounding of the shofar represents: 1) Return — We are putting God back on the throne! 2) An Alarm — God is awakening us from our spiritual slumber! 3) Rededication — We revitalize our commitment to God’s Word! 4) Hearing God’s Voice — He calls us to His wisdom and knowledge! 5) Sacrifice — Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac but God provided a ram! 6) Victory — A Reminder of God’s salvation and deliverance! 7) A Call for Unity — Under the Messiah, Jew and Gentile shall be one! 8) The Shout — Proclaiming Jesus will return with an eternal reward!
What you’re learning about is supernatural. It’s revelation that can make the difference between winning and losing. The shofar is God’s mighty trumpet and is the sound of victory over sin, sickness, poverty and anything else that might be trying to block your blessing!
The shofar is not only the sound of our reward, it is also considered a spiritual weapon of warfare. As we pray and sound the shofar in our homes and over our families it sends a clear signal that we are pulling down every stronghold of the enemy. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says; For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for
pulling down strongholds…
This is also an appointed time for sowing and reaping. It’s the season of the final of our three First Fruit offerings on Sukkot. Joel 2:23-24 directly connects this “due season” with both the early and latter rain. So, if we’ll arise with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication, and respond with our first fruits offering we can expect an abundant outpouring of blessing in our lives.
Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. The 9th of Av is a special day on God’s calendar. It’s part of the appointed times of the Fall Feasts. Many things have happened historically on this date.
Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. God opens up His book during this season of Elul which is a forerunner of the rapture of the Church.
The traditional blessing as you blow the shofar is, “Blessed are You oh Lord …who commanded us to hear the voice of the shofar.” Notice it’s not ‘who commanded us to blow the shofar.’ The heart of this teaching, is the blessing comes when we hear the sound of the shofar and it resonates in us. This will reconnect us spiritually to everything God is saying and calling us to do.
The Lord wants us to take these 40 days to examine our priorities — spiritually and financially. Each day as we hear the shofar, we have a fresh opportunity to examine our hearts. Let’s return to our first love by making sure we are putting God first.
Tiz and I are excited for what God is about to do! With the sounding of the shofar we expect God to release an outpouring of miracle blessings and breakthrough into your life!
