A Divine Encounter in Israel: How One Soldier’s Life Was Transformed by Your Support

During Pastor Larry’s recent visit to Israel, he experienced an extraordinary encounter at Larry Huch Ministries’ newly sponsored Shavim program—a life-changing initiative now providing critical mental health intervention for active-duty soldiers, reservists, and veterans suffering from trauma caused by war.

This innovative program was designed to assist IDF veterans and soldiers in adapting to civilian life and avoiding the long-term grip of PTSD. Shavim is offering desperately needed care to those overwhelmed by psychological distress—restoring dignity and renewing strength where there was once despair.

DIVINE APPOINTMENT

While interviewing participants in the program, Pastor Larry suddenly recognized one young soldier he had met before. His name was Sion, and he had just completed several tours in the treacherous Gaza war zone. The trauma had devastated his mental health, leaving him in a state of hopelessness.

But as they talked, something powerful began to happen. The cloud in Sion’s eyes began to lift. Hope stirred.

BLESSING REVEALED

Then came a revelation that only God could orchestrate: Pastor Larry and Sion realized they had met years earlier. Before the pandemic, the LHM ministry team had dined multiple times at Sion’s Jerusalem restaurant. The connection was warm and unforgettable.

But after COVID-19 and the recent war with Hamas, Sion had lost everything—his business, his stability, and nearly his will to live.

In that God-ordained moment at Shavim, something miraculous occurred. Pastor Larry watched as the young man’s countenance transformed before his eyes. Through divine love and presence, Sion came alive again.

What began as a conversation became a lifesaving appointment, a moment of supernatural healing made possible through the ongoing support of faithful partners like you.

HONORING OUR HEROES

The Shavim program—alongside the reinforced ambulances and emergency aid you help provide—continues to bring real healing to Israel’s heroes. These warriors fight not only on the battlefield but in the quiet war for their mental and emotional well-being.

Sion’s story is just one—but it reveals the miraculous impact of your compassion.

The trauma these brave men and women carry is real. Through your support, we’re helping them overcome it.

Will you stand with us today and help more soldiers like Sion find healing?
Your gift will expand these life-saving efforts and bring hope to those who sacrifice so much for Israel.

Give today and be part of a miracle only God can orchestrate.

Your Best is Yet To Come
