Israeli reservists reclaim hope

When Israel’s reservists returned home from the front lines of war with Hamas, for many, the battle did not end.
It simply changed form.

INTERRUPTED LIFE

These men and women are not career military professionals.
They are civilian reservists—called up suddenly from the middle of their everyday lives.

Only days before, they were parents, spouses, students, and workers living routine, predictable lives. Then, without warning, they were thrust into the chaos of war.

This sudden call to duty disrupted everything. And for many, it shattered a certain innocence—the belief that life would remain safe, steady, and familiar.

What they witnessed on the battlefield left deep emotional wounds that did not disappear when the fighting slowed. Sadly, many return home suffering from anxiety, sleepless nights, and constant fear. They carry invisible wounds—emotional and psychological scars that often surface only after they attempt to reenter daily life.

This is why your support of Israel’s defenders matters so much.

STRENGTH RECLAIMED

Larry Huch Ministries is honored to partner with Keren Hayesod to support their Shavimrecovery program—a life-changing outreach providing professional mental-health intervention for reservists suffering from trauma experienced during war.

Shavim is designed to help these men and women re-adapt to civilian life and avoid the long-term effects of PTSD, anxiety, and depression. It offers critical support for those overwhelmed by psychological distress and provides a pathway to stability, healing, and renewed hope.

One recent participant shared his heartfelt story:

“I served in the Gaza division. We saw many people dying all around us. You are in hell. You are at war.
I never thought I would be in a situation like this. I am a husband and a father. Once back at home, I became terrified—you fear everything: your house, your family, your children.
At the second meeting, I was already laughing. I don’t remember when I last laughed. What the Shavim project gives you is the sense that you can return home and thrive.”

SHARED RESILIENCE

Stories like this reveal the profound difference your generosity makes.

Through Shavim, Israel’s defenders are not only surviving—they are reclaiming their lives. This program is setting a powerful standard for national resilience, ensuring that those who risked everything to protect the Jewish land and people are not left to fight alone once they return home.

Your generosity through Larry Huch Ministries makes this healing possible. Every prayer and every offering helps turn trauma into restoration, fear into peace, and silence into hope.

A CALL TO STAND WITH ISRAEL—NOW

When Israel’s soldiers stood on the front lines, they defended a nation. Now, they need others to stand for them.

By continuing to support Israel through Larry Huch Ministries, you are caring for those who carried the weight of war—and helping them find healing, strength, and a future filled with hope.

Stand with Israel’s defenders.
Support trauma recovery.
Help bring restoration where the war still lingers.

Thank you for answering this ongoing call to stand with Israel and care for those who have sacrificed so much.
