I have one more praise report of God’s perfect timing and restoration. Larry and I were supposed to greet Ethiopian Jews who were making Aliyah to Israel on July 17, 2019. Because my emergency surgery was scheduled for the same date, I wasn’t able to go. I was so excited to meet these precious people and celebrate their new life with them. We had been working for so long to support the “Operation Eagle’s Wings” effort that I honestly felt robbed of this blessing. But our God is not only a God of healing, He is also a God of restoration!
In July 2022 Larry, Katie, and I returned from a trip to Israel, where the Israeli government and Karen Hayesod honored Larry Huch Ministries with a very special award for our support to returning Jews to Israel, In recent months we have helped over thirty thousand Ukrainian Jews displaced by the Russian invasion to immigrate to Israel.
On this trip in July 2022 we were able to meet many of these Ukrainian Jews, hear their stories, and get to know them personally. Coincidentally, although in Hebrew, there is no word for coincidence, we also had the great pleasure of meeting an incoming plane of 160 new immigrants that we sponsored relocate to Israel. Guess where these people were from? Ethiopia! Guess when this took place? Almost exactly three years to the day when we were supposed to meet the plane in 2019!
The enemy tried to take my life and rob me of my future and destiny. Three years ago when the oncologist diagnosed me with aggressive, advanced Stage 3 ovarian cancer, my future flashed before my eyes—but I wasn’t in it. That was a dreadful, fear-filled day when the reality hit me that I might not live three more months, let alone three more years. But God!
Not only did God save my life, but He restored my life! What the enemy tried to steal and destroy, my God restored and multiplied back to me and my family! The passion and labor of our lives was not destroyed or subdued. It has been thriving and multiplying! Rather than being diverted from our mission, we have become more focused and driven, and we have quadrupled our commitments! I made the final edits on this book during my flight home from that trip to Israel. What a confirmation of God’s perfect timing, perfect plans, and perfect restoration! Only God could have arranged all this so perfectly!
We serve a good God when really does work all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. We are blessed to be a blessing! When we are a blessing to others, the blessing multiplies back into our own lives. Rather than seeking to be blessed, seek to be a blessing. This is the key to living in realms of God’s blessings, promises, and miracles by the moment.
Just like Larry and I, and the family did, you will be a blessing as well, and see restoration happen moment by moment and day by day as you God’s promises bring you to a place of healing, wholeness, and the full realization of your miracle.
Psalm 103 became a key verse for me. Daily I declared that God had healed all my diseases and renewed and restored me. What He has done for me, He will do for you. He has abundant goodness for you for such a time as this. He is on the throne, and your destiny is intact. No matter what storm you are facing, look up to the face of God and declare this scripture His other promises. Say them out loud.
Nothing is impossible with God! You are more than a conqueror because of Christ, who loves you. Take every thought captive that would exalt itself above the Word of God. Purpose in your heart to envision His unlimited best for you. Let every healing declaration soak in as you proclaim His promises. God will add His super to your natural as you walk into new levels of faith, healing, and restoration.
