Tiz and I have been married for more than forty-five years, and we have been pastoring together for the entirety of our marriage. Together we pioneered seven churches, including two in Australia. We have preached salvation healing services and ministered in nations throughout the globe. What a joy to see our Lord bring supernatural breakthroughs, healings, and miracles to people of different languages, skin colors, and nationalities. Our TV program and streaming services reach around the world every day and bring the hope, life, and love of God to millions. It’s a great honor and privilege to serve our God and see Him do such incredible things over the span of our lives together.
In the first year of our marriage, we decided that we were going to choose to trust God and His Word in every area of our lives. Determined, we pressed beyond the natural limitations of this world and into the unlimited promises and supernatural power of our God. Tiz likes to say, “God will put His super to our natural.” That pursuit has been and continues to be, the core foundation for our lives and ministry to this day. We have seen tens of thousands of people changed, healed, set free, and touched by life-altering miracles of every kind all over the world.
Where do you go when you are suddenly thrown into a war zone? Tiz and I went back and stood upon the same rock-solid foundations of spiritual warfare, diligent prayer, and unwavering faith in God’s Word. The same way we have faced and overcome every challenge, large or small, is how we faced and overcame these new levels of challenges. We have never faced greater attacks on our family, but we have also never seen greater outpourings of God’s grace and miracles!
In the Hebrew language, there is no word for coincidence. That means it is no coincidence you are reading this book right now in this season of your life. It is by the leading of the Lord Himself. I hope you have a foundation of faith already established in your life. I hope you pray for Israel and bless Israel at every opportunity. No matter what your faith level is right now, Tiz and I want you to be encouraged by the moments of miracles we have experienced, as you expect God to bring your breakthrough.
Build On a Rock-Solid Foundation
Prayer and faith are foundations on which you build to see your miracle. Think about the last time God answered your prayer. God is good! Over our lifetime we have stood in faith and experienced thousands of miracles for ourselves and others in every area of life. As Romans 4:21 says, we live our lives “fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised” (NIV). No matter what the challenges, big or small, we stand firm on the foundations of our faith in God, His Word, authority, dominion, and power.
Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Nothing is too big for God! Not cancer. Not leukemia. Not a thing you may be facing right now. Mark 16:18 gives us the authority to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. In Matthew 16:19, Jesus released to His church incredible authority and power to fight against the kingdom of darkness and establish God’s kingdom on earth. He empowers us all with these words, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
You Can Do All Things
The Bible also says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). God Almighty has given His children authority and power to walk in and establish His dominion not only in the world but in our health, families, finances, and every other realm of our lives. Through our prayers and faith, we can drive back the forces of darkness and release the power of God’s promises. Some might think this sounds presumptuous or overpromising. I believe if it is in the Bible, it is absolutely true, trustworthy, and literal. If God said it, He meant it, and we can base our lives on it.
Our faith is not based on circumstances, outcomes, or results. Ecclesiastes 3:11 states, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” I had the deep peace and confidence that, whether my appointed time to be with the Lord was now or later, I would be with Him throughout eternity. You can have that same peace and confidence as well. Our faith is based on God, His Word, and His power. Our testimonies are to tell what has happened for us and to bring hope to others and glory to God. In the uncertainty of cancer diagnoses, we held tight to this scripture and saw it come to pass both for Lion and Tiz. “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. “ Psalm 118:17
