The October 7th massacre did so much damage that Israel continues to suffer from its effects and still needs our help. Those being helped by your support include boys and girls who are victims of the terror, as well as families and individuals who have lost everything or have been displaced due to the deadly rocket attacks and assaults.
What happens across Israel directly affects you and your family’s future. What we saw on October 7 is not just about Hamas’s plan for the Jewish people. It is also what Hamas intends to do to all of us here in America. The war in Israel has nothing to do with “land for peace.” This … Read more
Pastor Larry visited Israel not too long after the attacks on October 7th. He returned and shared that the things that he saw and the stories he was told when he stood in the kibbutz is beyond anything you could imagine. The atrocities he witnessed make it unable to fathom how one human could inflict such suffering upon another. These babies, women, children and elderly are not prisoners of war. They are innocent civilians who endured the horrific brutality. Pastor Larry described the disturbing devastation he saw— home, after home, after home, blown up, riddled with bullets, blood everywhere. Of even greater concern is that the further we get away from October 7th, the sooner we might forget what took place. He knew something had to be done.
The Israeli government asked Pastor Larry, a board member of the Israel Allies Foundation, to host an event to bring pastors to the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC to show footage that doesn’t get out to the public. It is footage that was taken by Hamas documenting the brutality of the massacre, of the rape, of the butchery of women and children.
It is easy to stir hatred when a curse is behind it. The spirit behind the assaults on Israel, and the increase in anti-Semitism around the world isn’t new. It’s ancient. It has been more than 100 days since the long-planned assault on October 7th. Before this, the Palestinian Legislative Council voted Hamas into power as a political party and terrorist organization. The following was part of the Hamas charter recorded in 2006. “Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims. The time [to implement Allah’s promise] will not come until Muslims fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! We must spread the spirit of Jihad among the . . .Umma [the Muslim community], clash with the enemies, and join the ranks of the Jihad fighter” The charter also included the pledge: “I swear by that who holds in His Hands the Soul of Muhammed! I indeed wish to go to war for the sake of Allah! I will assault and kill, assault and kill, assault and kill.”
Through your most generous and timely support, Larry Huch Ministries has been able to provide two new Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances for Israel since the war with Hamas began.
One of these lifesaving vehicles was airlifted in by Magen David Adom, Israel’s top emergency medical system, and has already responded to multiple injuries caused by Hamas invaders.
Ever since Israel defended herself against Hamas’s deadly attack on October 7, anti-Semitism, anti-Israel, and anti-Jewish assaults have exploded around the world. France, the United States, Israel, and other countries have seen a dramatic rise in hostility toward Jewish people. In Paris, Jewish homes and businesses were spray-painted with the Star of David. These ‘tags’ are derogatory in meaning like seen during the Holocaust.
In New York, a Jewish high school teacher had to barricade herself in her own classroom as hundreds of students flooded into hallways rioting, chanting, shouting, and waving their Palestinian flags and banners. Also in Israel, a Hamas terrorist opened fire at a bus stop outside of Jerusalem, killing two and injuring eight. Larry Huch Ministries, working alongside Israel Allies Foundation and with your support, is working to end and prevent these attacks.
One of the most important core outreaches that Larry Huch Ministries does through our partnered work with you is to provide trauma therapy for Jewish children who have been victims of terror. You are also helping to provide special grants to parents for therapeutic care for their children’s PTSD recovery. This past year, more than 100 children ages 6 to 16 attended a recovery camp led by the Jewish Agency’s Fund for Victims of Terrorism.
Denial and ignorance are now adding to the continued rise of anti-Semitism across the globe; including in Israel. “In a time of ‘relative truth,’ some portray the people of Israel as foreigners in the Land of Israel,” said Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Minister. “Our ancestors knew there would come a day when there would be those who would claim we have no connection or right to Jerusalem. “However, I don’t think they could have fully imagined the depths of absurdity that we see today,” he continued.
